Atlantic Coast Media Group is a high-growth direct merchant of vitamin supplements and cosmetic products for its own proprietary brands (www.urban-nutrition.com) selling through radio, magazines, newspapers, and Internet. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment with a team of talented professionals.

Title: Staff Accountant

Responsibilities include:
• Perform all functions in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assisting with month-end closings and preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare journal entries to record financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly account analysis and bank reconciliations
• Reconciliation of sales and credit card statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts.
• Update Cash Management on a daily basis, utilizing on-line banking.
• Reconcile fixed assets on monthly basis and ensure proper depreciation of assets.
• Preparation of monthly sales and use tax reporting.
• Various projects as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 2 to 5 years accounting experience.
• Experience in GAAP and month end closing.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Excel and QuickBooks a must.
• Experience with SAP or Hyperion a strong Plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Requires strong attention to detail and follow through.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take on responsibility and work well under strict deadlines.
