Newark Produce Distributor is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all financial operations. Responsibilities will include general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory control, payroll, banking, cash management, fixed assets and depreciation, monthly financial closings and reporting, year end audits, budgeting and forecasting.

Experience
7-10 years accounting and budgeting experience with increasing responsibility within a distribution company. Previous supervisory experience a must.
Experience working in produce distributor to major grocers is a plus.
Manufacturing background also a plus.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point.


Education:
BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or MBA preferred

Responsibilities:
Day to day management of all financial areas mentioned above.
Train and develop accounting and finance staff.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closings.
Develop key daily, weekly and monthly management reporting practices.
Provide weekly and monthly cash flow reports and projections.
Set direction and schedule for the accounting staff.
Interact with independent auditors, banks, technical consultants as needed.
Develop annual budgets and interim forecasts as required.
